tomb raider legend - im stuck, please help!!! ( level 3 - takamoto)

im on the 3rd level and battling with takamoto, and i just cant seem to kill him or even down his life! shooting him just doesnt seem to work, and even by the time i get a little of his life down i die! im in drastic need of help.
anyone plase help!!
does anyone know of any cheats that work, ive tried a couple, like a bullet proof one & a drain your enemy of strength one but neither worked. i really dont know how to finish him off!!

Er... do a search on 'Tomb Raider Legend Walkthrough' and it should come up with a walkthrough for all of the game.

It spoils it, but thats modern society for ya.
