My husband left the UK on Monday due to an immargation thing , he has has to go back to the US to applie for a spousal visa , even though we have been married for over 3 years and have lived here all that time .
Anyways , I am at a total loss as to how to cope without him being here , I dont go outside much and he always did all the shopping and bill paying , I ran the house and did the cooking and stuff .
Its only been 4 days since he left and he will be gone 3 months and although when he left I never broke down or cryed or did the omg I cant live without you stuff , I have felt today that I am kinda getting weepy , infact I did lay on the sofa today and cried like a newborn needing a breast.
I dont have any family to speak off , and we just moved here and I dont know anyone , plus remember I dont go outside if I can help it .
I just feel like a part of me , my right hand , my soulmate has gone n Im just lost.

just thought for once since I joined AB that I would share .

Oh Blyss I really feel for you. I'm really sorry to hear your husband will be away for a while. Can I ask why you don't go out much? There are always people to talk to on here if you feel a little low. Do you have friendly neighbours you could become friends with? Just trying to think of ways you can keep yourself busy. I don't really know what else to say only this will make you a stronger person in the long run x
how did u manage before you were married, he is only a man, shopping, working, doing the household bills, that is well within your capabilities, make sure when he gets back you have managed to cope without him, for goodness sake woman, we can't have him thinking he is indispensable, it would give some of the blokes on here ideas above their station! lol

Blyss just keep thinking you are not a victim, think 'i am 10 feet tall', women stick together as a rule and so you need to use all the offers of help from this site, it really can help, despite the superficial appearance (yukky orange) it is pure gold on here.
Dot, I apologise for previously saying I thought you were stern. Great advice given here.

Hi Blyss, sorry I'm a bit late here :-) but just wanted to say, I am sorry that you are feeling so down. But on the plus side you are here on AB and there are a great bunch of people here who will genuinely care and help you through this. How long is he away for? 3 months? Well in the grand scheme of things thats nothing! Honestly it's not that long, even though I imagine it feels like forever just now. BUT it is long enough for you to, find a new hobby or skill, maybe go to a class at your local college? You can meet new friends, learn some new skill or talent etc All of this will help fill your time, so that you are not just sitting in the house watching the clock, and also will help you meet new people, maybe make some friends and develope your social skills, to give you more confidence in yourself and your abilities.

lol repeat after me : "I am a strong, independant woman, and I can do anything!"
I know it's corny lol but my mum makes me say it out loud (and proud lol) when I am feeling down or am not confident about my ability to cope with something.
Good luck, stay in touch on here, please?? x x
