Hi,

Finished work today and went on the motorway to get home. Travelled at 70mph for 13 miles got home and parked outside my home. I realised I had to go to the post office so started it back up but it had no power at all. I then tried revving it up but it just was so sluggish even when moving off. I then switched the engine off waited 2 mins and then it seemed fine.

Any ideas what was going on?

EGR valve? Google and see if symptons look familiar
Question Author
Looked up the EGR valve and it seems you are right all symptoms point to it. I can either replace it or clean it. Will need to ask a mechanic see what he thinks EGR valves are expensive.
See if this helps. Is your car a petrol or diesel ?.

Thanks tonyav I had a lok at my egr valve and it does look clogged up. Seen the video looks simple enough to do. I was thinking it maybe best if I get a mechanic to remove the egr valve and then give it a good clean and also the turbo using the product below.
