can gas meters be faulty powergem told me they rearly faulty

We recently had the gas turned off in the street for repairs and someone had to come and check all the meters when they switched it back on again. The chap that did ours said that it was leaking actually inside the meter box. There was no way of telling how long, he said it could have been when it was connected a couple of years ago. I know this isn't a direct answer to your question, coverall, but I suppose anything is worth checking.

Yes i'm sure they can. We thought our electric meter was faulty and the electric company came and checked it so i'm sure it will be the same with gas. Incidently our meter wasn't faulty, turned out to be our new )mega powerful) pond filter making the dial spin round like hell!!!
