Afternoon Margo, the BA issue seems to refuse to go away. I wasn't a member when the star system was in force, but it sound like a pretty fair system and should eradicate some of the silly BA's we get at present.Don't know if the ED would consider it though.

I think it would be reasonable, perhaps, to have one system for crosswords and another for everything else ie ba's and stars or whatever. It seems to me that the two 'sides' for want of a better word will never agree and it obviously causes resentment. I came on here mainly for crossword help, which has always been freely given, but I find that when I contribute to other sections my efforts are very often (but not always) ignored. So when there is talk of the crossword clique I have a little giggle to myself.
