Had a lovely afternoon doing a village quiz walk yesterday and...my friend and I were joint winners.....which pleased me no end.....not just because we won but.......

One of the early clues was impossible to find....now I know I'm competitive and like to win so before the finish we went back to the beginning and there as clear as anything was the missing clue....it really was unmissable!

After a natter with a few others who hadn't been able to find the clue either it became clear that one of the early teams to set off had hidden/disguised it.....then returned to put it back......

Isn't it a shame that folk will cheat to win.....but they didn't...not even the raffle.....I won that too...☺

Quite a winning week for me....a lottery ticket seems a good idea....x

i'd appreciate some info on how to win tomorrow's euro lottery by cheating
I am cheating in an effort to get a top job, win the lottery

TMI, Sqad?
aelmpv...I am working on it, but when I have sussed it, i will not be letting on.

I am tackling the problem as an "inside job."
Cheating at this level - pub/village quiz type thing, shows a meanness of spirit.

Cheating big time, as in Gambling, fake qualifications etc. may be seen as admirable but not if someone else gets hurt along the way and of course if you get caught you aren't just drummed out of the WI.

I was always brought up to earn anything I did on my own merit and although still very competitive, cheating would leave a taint to anything I won by it.

Glad someone else is very competitive, Mamya....and it's not about beating everyone else is it?

For me it's challenging myself to be the best I can be....whether it's the pub quiz or making the perfect quilt....x
Gness, I hope you let the cheats know that you were aware that they cheated.

Tilly.....the organisers will know now which team it is and how to not let it happen next year.....as it's happened before.

I don't actually want to know.....x
I suppose having invigilators won't work as that would give away the location of the clues?

Also, I'm mystified by how this was the *first* clue. How on earth are you meant to find it, starting from nothing?
