has anyone any experience of "the drivers survival handbook" by streetwise marketing which has been extensively advertised for well over 10 years in magazines making all sorts of wonderous claims about how you can get away with all manner of traffic offences legally thru obscure and minor loopholes?

You would do better buying the Institute of Advanced Drivers Manual and learning to drive properly then you would not get caught breaking the Law!

...yes but most people will try the "get away with it" option-so what is this book claiming you can get away with...legally?
I have an electronic copy of said book. Haven't had to use it yet though. A good hint is: if you're going to buy a speed camera detector make sure it has VG-2 detector detection capability. Police radar guns have VG-2 detection which means that they can see who is using a speed camera detector. If you know that they know that you know first, make sure you're doing the speed limit.
Also, radar and laser jammer devices don't work.

skids -is the book as good as it claims though?
Good advice from TOUREMAN. Although IAM publications may be a bit too advanced for you.

Try The Highway Code first.

Try to defend your rights against self incrimination on a Notice of Intended Prosecution. It won't happen!
