Metal To Plastic

For my uni course I have to design something in plastic that is usually metal and not already been done, any ideas PLEASE would be fantastic.

High end wheels are now Carbon with ceramic bearings and you can buy forks and handlebar sets that are complete carbon. Derailleurs are becoming more and more carbon in construction and you can also get carbon cranksets as well. Gear shifters are Carbon and you can now get chainrings made of carbon....

Methyl - thanks for that. I'm interested in keeping liquids drinkably warm for 12 hours - stainless steel ones just about manage it but I thought the plastic ones might be better.

Interesting. I recall seeing a baby's 'teether' which was oversized plastic keys on a plastic ring. Obviously not real keys though. I doubt one would find something that's never been done. Unless something absurd / impractical /useless save as ornament.
