Tap Washers

Having a problem at the moment with a restricted flow from the bathroom sink hot water tap (only a trickle of water --followed by almost nothing and then further turns goes back to a trickle)-----is a worn washer causing this? Always thought a drip was the result of a worn washer.!!

I guess it's a standard pillar tap, Kenny, not a mixer or anything fancy?

Tap washer either stuck down, or disintegrated and bunging things up.
Quite easy to do yourself if you're handy.
