I've never seen such a thing.

I haven't seen any and can't find any online. I am toying with the idea of replacing my living room with patio doors but I would like to open a window and not a door occasionally
I think your "opened" window would need to be separate from the patio doors.

I really didn't want that, jennyjoan. Maybe the answer would be half a French door with a glass side panel that incorporates a window.

a glazier would be your best bet.

get an independent one - that last guy I had just worked for himself - put me in a new window for a reasonable sum - if I had have gone to a big company - it would have been twice the price.

Get some brochures.
I have tilt and slide. (depends on if you want both doors to open.

Now I saw that, Talbot, and I've had a large tilt and open bathroom window for years.

Can you have it on tilt without the rain getting in?
Yes, within reason.
I suspect the demand for such a thing is so low they wouldn't bother. Would make more sense to have shorter doors with opener windows above the door frame.
I have French windows with two small windows above. As OG suggests that would probably be your best bet.
