Is anyone else having trouble contacting EDF? A week ago I tried to give a meter reading but a) my login details were incorrect. (the one I have used for three years) b) phone regularly gives "10 minutes waiting, we are very busy". I tried to get a new password using their website and got a reply saying "A link has been sent - this link is valid for 10 minutes". No link arrived! I have tried this method twice more each time produced the same result. Have they gone bust, underground or what.
I would like to know if I am alone grappling with this crowd.

If the link was sent by email, log into your email account through your email provider's web-based system (rather than using an email client, such as Outlook Express, or a phone app) and take a look to see if there's a 'spam', 'junk' or similar folder there. Quite a high percentage of genuine email gets trapped by spam filters. (Since they don't forward alleged spam to email clients or phone apps, you'll only see those missing emails if you go into the web-based service).
No percy, I've had no trouble accessing my EDF a/c details and having live web chats.
Hope you get it all sorted out soon.
Have you tried re-registering? I had a similar problem and just tried re-registering. It worked. I didn't have my account number to hand which was a pain, but their Live Chat service was great and they helped me out with this.
