Ice Alert !

I bought my lovely bright red Fiesta brand new on May 1st this year, and this evening is the first time the orange Ice Alert is showing on the dashboard
( +4 degrees ) AND the gritters are out tonight !

Winter is finally upon us !

It's still quite mild here. VERY wet though but at least it's still not yet cold enough to have the heating on... yet! Not far off though I'm sure.

Pah, we used to carry out exercises regularly at this time of year in W. Germany and it often got to -6/7. It was all good character-building stuff.

We are just about to have a spectacular sunrise here in Swansea. My study faces due east and the whole sky is lit up bright orange and red, with lots of vapour trails all heading towards Heathrow !
