my vauxhall avenger used to have an inch of water on the floor after a heavy downfall
Hilman made the Avenger, aelmpvw, they were rust buckets though. Didn't the holes in the floor let the water run out ;-)

TWR @ 1051, Yes, of course, and why not?
your right tony, it was many moons go ... and i never understood why the water didn't leak out, there should have been enough rusty holes

A Morris 1100.
Just seen your post Baldric, those were the days, as It happened Tony, that car must have been an exception, It was a Minter when I got it so I kept it the same, it was only by chance that I found the Rust / Hole under the rear seat, I sorted the job, kept the car a few years & moved on, that would have been a bob or two now.
Riley one and a half litre, NXA 388. £29-10shillings. Suicide front doors and a brilliant motor. Have regretted selling that car for most of my life. Not better than my S type Jag but would love to have it back and drive it on Sundays and dry days. Happy days.
