im going to look at a flat on tuesday any tips on things too look for /ask? eg how to check for damp?? that kinda thing.

- Are you allowed to sub-let (or have a friend share with you?)
- If monthly rent is quoted, is it payable every calendar month or every four weeks?
- How much notice is required if you want to leave? (If you're renting)
- What deposit is required?
- Are you renting from an individual landlord or through an agency. What is the history of quick repairs if things go wrong.
- Are you allowed to decorate internally or must you live with the landlord's colour scheme?
- Any restrictions on noise, i.e. no parties or loud radio or TV after 11 p.m. etc.
- If it's furnished, ensure a full inventory is provided and that you sign up & agree to it. Also that any damage to furniture or carpets is noted before you move in.
