Am My Answers Wrong Or Is There An Error In The Phoenix Xmas Crossword?

There are 2 clues that crossover in the Phoenix as below

54a) Singers Mr Boone and Miss Fitzgerald get together in front of low down joint (7 letters). I am sure that is Patella

50d) Comedy sketch about redhead woman's clothing (5 letters) I am sure this is Skirt

However if patella is right then skirt can't be right as the P in patella is the 2nd letter of 50d

Am I wrong with my answers or is there an error in the crossword?

It's a bit iffy but could 54 be kneecap - accepting where patella comes from you then need something for low down (cap meaning low down - the facts).

I thought it was an obvious error too, FawltyAdder since 51d had to be 'Serb' - then the genius of the Xword setter dawned! Go with 'Kneecap'.

Any idea about 10d? - Toy gun after tea or dinner. (6). 4th letter could be 'e', 'f' or 'l'.

I'm with Prudie, I also had patella down but it must be KNEECAP. That fits SKIRT in 50d, and the R in skirt fits QUAKER in 58 across. It also fits SERB in 51d. How about BISON for 59a? It fits the B in SERB.

Pat (Boone) + ella(Fitzgerald) = patella and I also think Skirt is right r(eadhead) in skit. It looks very much like a setter's mistake.
