Saving Photo On Iphone

Occasionally I want to save a photo from the Internet on my iPhone 5s 8.1.1 and when I place my finger on the picture and click the save option, I get the message 'saved to camera roll'. However I cannot find it anywhere on my phone and certainly not in 'photos' Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

It usually says Save Image, Copy or Cancel when I do it, but it's always there in Photos.

Touch the photo and you should get an option to Save Image or Copy. Save the image. It will then be the last item in your Photos album.
