Hanging them would have the opposite effect to the one we want askyourgran.
That would demonstrate that by killing someone they become martyrs and are transported instantly to paradise . They actually believe that by being given a death sentence they will get to live for ever in Paradise with unlimited food and a supply of willing virgins . Give one a death sentence and there will be many more copying them in the belief that they to will all go to paradise!
