Jeb Bush to stand as a Republican candidate? Speculation is mounting that he will throw his hat in the ring as someone who can unify the party and put the TeaPots in their rightful caddy, a politician that had one of the highest ever approval ratings when he exited the gubernatorial job in Florida, the downside being the bro of the Shrub....

Could the Dynasty continue?

Could he be too left wing for the Reds?

Could it be a Bush-Clinton punch-up?

Rather like having Forrest Gump as Prime Minister ;o)

He's supposed to be the best one, The Builder, and had a good track record in Florida....
do you have to have a brain to be a President ?

surely George W Bush shows the answer is NO
That's true enough DTC. Actually, I think they missed a trick when they failed to persuade Condi Rice to run.

Such a beautiful woman............ and what a wonderful piano player. ;o)

he graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Latin American Studies. Speaks fluent Spanish, after all his wife is a natural Spanish speaker - the liability seems to be the offspring!
America scares me.

In what way, Frog?
I might be wrong about this but its my personal opinion that if Hilary stands, Hilary wins.

The Republicans are still all at sea after their 2 consecutive defeats. They don't seem able to agree on one candidate to face up to the Democrats that isn't, at the very least, slightly barking mad.
My cousin has worked for him for years. Maybe he will get a pay rise now..
Religion and allegiance to the flag mainly DTC. Their version of gun-toting, flag-waving "Christian" thinking scares me.
I give you this:

He`s actually very well thought of in Florida

The flag thing I'm okay with, it's part of the allegiance. I agree on the religious bit and a certain sympathy towards the 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality. Do you realise that in Texas there are nearly six times more the number of prisoners per 1000 of population than the UK?

Guns, I can live with and they won't stop them, however there is one way of limiting things and that is tax the hell out of the bullets and limit their distribution.

The thing that worries me more is their attitude to foreign policy, something that really hasn't changed since Woodrow Wilson in the early 20thC, the 'Sheriff' of the world role, their so-called extra-territorial laws and regulations, their want to shape and steer economics, the mighty dollar - that and then the insularism of the population at large, the lack of history and geography in the teaching, the lack of strong thinking skills and philosophy at University.
I do hope so, if he is half as effective as his brother and winding up the lefties then he'll be terrific! Go Jeb!
Oh no, not another one. Are their kids one day going to try for office as well? Bush Babies.
He seems to have the left out on here in force at just the mention.

Cracking one jeb, I cant wait for you to be in the White house !
I think the americal people are now conditioned to have another ' non white' president .

It's time for a native american president .

Anyone seen ' running bear ' ? - i think he should throw his hat in the ring
