I was watching this case quite closely as I know a woman who gave birth to 3 of her 4 daughters whilst consuming at least a litre of vodka a day, the 3 all have foetal alcohol syndrome. Those poor girls suffer every single day because their mum refused all help to stop or even reduce her consumption. She also smoked cigarettes and cannabis and snorted cocaine whilst pregnant.

Can you imagine if this had succeeded? There would actually have been women who would make sure they drank too much, hoping their child would be damaged, purely in order to receive compensation. Sounds far fetched? I dont think so.
