Sandy I think that they may well have sold out,as collectors purchase this as an investment,hoping that it will appreciate,then they sell it at a very nice profit.

Have sometimes thought of doing this for whisky,but I know my weaknesses and I would probably consume my liquid assets.

I think liquid investment sites on the web are a happy hunting ground for conmen. Potential investors need to be very careful.
But if you had a few cases of decent wine in the cellar you could always use them to drown your sorrows if the bottom fell out of the market.

For my fiftieth birthday one of my nieces bought me a pair of Waterford crystal whisk(e)y glasses,I think it must be psychological but a good whisk(e)y always seems to taste better when drunk out of a fine crystal glass.

I only like to drink out of glass. Wine and champagne must be in fine thin glass other spirits in cut glass. My sil has these fancy silver goblets but it kills the drink and she gets quite peeved when I insist on glass.
