Ipad Newbie!! Apps

I am very new to IPad. From the App store I went on to Newtand and downloaded a Guardian newspaper app which was free. I later realised it was a free trial after which I suspect I will automatically become a subsriber, which I now don't want to happen. Can anyone tell me how I cancel this so I am not a subscriber. Thanks

I did this with the Racing Post. Got a free trial and did not subscribe. I did nothing and nothing has been taken from my account. That was a few months ago. The only time anything has been taken from my account is something purchased from Apple. ie anything from iTunes (music), iTunes Match I only ever download free apps

Just done a google and I think it works like the Daily Mail, after the free trial when you go to read the paper you will be informed that the trial has ended and you will then be asked if you wish to subscribe.
