Novice on Fb. Messages sent seem to be going to my inbox, obviously doing something wrong! Or is this normal ? Can I check if messages have been sent ? Think I better search out my old Quill , It was easier!

When you send a message, it'll open up a "conversation" with the recipient in question. All messages, sent and received, will be in that conversation window. When a message is read by the recipient, it'll have a tick and then next to it, it'll say "seen" followed by the time and date the message was seen.
If the last message in the conversation is one that you received (rather than sent), then your last sent message won't have "seen" next to it, as it's obvious that it's been seen, as the recipient has replied to it.
