Why are the celebs in the jungle so desperate to be crowned King or Queen Of The Jungle? Not exactly a great achievement, winning a popularity poll over 9 (or was it 11?) other campmates. Okay, for Jake it would probably put him on the showbiz map. And, while Foggy is already an international star in motorbike racing, I guess it would expand recognition of him in the UK for a while....though I can't see a man of his age or limited personality having much of a future in entertainment. Melanie Sykes has long enjoyed a successful career in modelling and presenting, and I can't imagine how this would enhance her future in the spotlight. Yet she of all the finalists seems to think winning tonight is on a par with bagging an Oscar or Olympic Gold. I'm amazed she's got this far actually, as this series has shown a very unappealing side to her. And the recent press coverage of her behaviour while married hasn't painted her in a nice light either. If any of you will be voting for her to win, can you please explain why?

I think it should be called 'I'm someone you all thought was dead - get me on the telly'!! I've never ever watched it so don't know what's going on there. Does anyone remember Tarrant on TV showing that Japanese game show that couldn't possible happen over here that used to feature contestants eating a variety of horrid things? Oh, how we laughed ;)

I guess most people want to win any competition they have entered, not really thinking about what the win would do for you in the long term.

Some careers have taken a second wind after being on and winning.
I'm going by what I see of her in the jungle. She would survive it if she had to without depending on anyone. She has been aggressive yes, but she has also been gentle with some. I wouldn't mind her winning.
Why are you watching it meryl?
You have very succinctly described what has gone on...are you a masochist or a spoilsport?
Meryl - I agree, I don't like Mel either, read too many nasty things about her. I gave her the benefit of the doubt cos obviously I don't believe everything I read, but she appears to be showing her true colours the second half after starting off nice.
Me too. Don't like Mel at all
Can't understand a word Foggy says so he won't be reading the news, Mel alright with Gino cooking, Jake needs a big break after his XFactor eviction might be more room in This Morning along side Rylan for him!
My wife picked up a brochure from Iceland today about their Xmas food offerings.

And who was on the front cover, Peter Andre.

A few years age he was a has-been but after a failed marriage and some reality TV shows he is now big-news.

That is why people want to win these reality shows.
They are all PAID a HUGE sum of MONEY to take part. That is the Main reason.Win or Lose That is positive.
Jake to win !
Should be entitled "I'm a nobody but desperately trying to be a wannabee z- list celebrity" Ok, I know, it's not exactly a snappy title is it?, but sums up the show. I really hate "reality" tv. TV at it's worst. Tabloid television.
