Morning, sweetie....enjoy your tiling.....I'm staying put today....dehairing the hearthrug and doing some sewing.....though I have had an idea which means taking off the utility room door.....x
Ah tiling. One of my most worrying jobs prior to starting, but it's amazing, keep swearing at the wall and tiles that don't seem to want to be flat and eventually you have it done and it doesn't look bad at all. Can be quite satisfying after the event. Do check you are getting it flat and straight at each point though. Use a baton tacked up for the first horizontal line of tiles.
Years ago at our previous house, OH said he would tile the bathroom. We got nice blu water splash tiles and a narrow patterned tile to do a run half way up. I went out shopping and left him to it. When I came home OMG he had completely c***ed it up. The main tiles were rectangular, he had put them on with the widest edge going horizontal. Then he had put the patterned tiles on so they did not match in size, as they were the size of the narrow edge. It looked awful but too late to do anything about it.
Job done and sorted, I only used 2 boxes of nails Baldric, so I think that's the Job sorted, the person that plastered the bathroom must have had a bad day, there was more bends than the Brands Hatch, I had you in my thoughts this morning Sweet pie, especially when I was doing around the bath lol lol. be there Frid Slack.
