It would be an easy thing for a good investigator to find out. There would also be an offence of driving without insurance, but it is doubtful that the police would spend the time on it. The person insured should be the one who uses the car most. That is the whole point of charging different rates.

Insuring a son/daughter to get cheap insuranc eon their car is fronting, and is fraud - I catch people all the time, and enjoy cancelling their policies and refusing to pay out.
