A horse has a blind spot directly in front of it's nose, extending to about 4 feet. It also has a blind spot directly behind the tail which extends to about 10 feet.
The horse has monovision with the left eye seeing what is happening to it's left and vice versa with the right eye.
Because a horses eyes are on the side of its head it can see behind it with almost 360 degree vision. This is why they sometimes wear blinkers in a race so they don't get startled by another horse coming up behind them.
The true black horse is as rare as the true white horse. To be white, the horse has to have all pink skin... any dark skin means you're not a white horse. To be black, the horse has to have all black hairs... any brown hairs and the horse is a dark bay or brown, not black.
