...things were getting better, *BAM* they just get worse.

I had a terrible night last night regarding my medication and the nurse dispensing (or should I say not dispensing). Well after speaking to the doctor this morning he reassured me that it wouldn't happen again.

Roll on 22:05 this evening, the same nurse walks into the room. She then tells me that they need to order the Haloperidol as they don't have any and then gives me oromorph.

To start with I don't have oral morphine because it isn't potent enough, I have subcutaneous morphine. She then said that I could have Cyclizine or Ondanzetron instead of Haloperidol. If she had actually checked my drugs sheet I can't have either.

So yet again I was sat on my bed balling my eyes out. It's going to be a long painful night.

mamylynne I had no idea you actually know him personally. Perhaps you can send him everyone's good wishes when you next visit him in hospital.
Mamyalynne, perhaps you could take him a nice cake when you visit him, fruitcake perhaps?
Hope tonight is a bit better, Dizmo.
I'll be thinking of you.
:-))
Enjoy the pain relief, Diz; seriously, get a good night's sleep....
Dizmo - we still love you. Make sure you get your Haloperidol and your pain meds. Have a good sleep.
I hope you're having a better night and, hopefully, asleep. I hope you get the treatment you need. xx
Best of luck, Diz. Hope they get you sorted.
Retro, I think Dizmo is popping in here to read the wishes of ABers.

'They've just dosed me with morphine and want to examine my business end. I really don't understand why but at least she's a very dishy looking doctor

a very dedicated AB'er that's all I can say. Pass me a slice of that fruitcake pankysmooch, with a nice pinch of salt.

why folks encourage this sort of thing beats me -does it make people feel superior? -its actually cruel.
Just out of interest, have they done a CT or MRI? That would be pretty conclusive.
