I have just sold an eBay item to a man in Russia. He says he can't use paypal.
What options do I have? Is it safe to give my bank details so he can transfer the money? Then there is the Russian currency crisis to consider , will a Russian bank allow cash to be sent abroad?

No way will I send it until it is paid for. It is £25 which is about 2500 roubles at the moment. If he does not pay I have an other bid from France that I will take.
SCAM !
Eddie - no way should you give him your bank details. Far too risky
I wouldn't take a risk as I prefer everything to be done officially through Paypal. But I'm not sure what fraud could be done with just a sort code and account number- this info is on every cheque we write
I agree with Factor. A sort code and account number allows someone else to make deposits to your account; it does not allow them to make withdrawals. I make a number of online payments this way.

Now he is saying he wants to 'sort it out in the new year' so I have offered it to the next bidder.
