what do you do at Christmas? celebrate 'something', ignore it all together, or reluctantly send 'Happy Christmas' cards despite your beliefs?

We celebrated Yule which conveniently goes on for 10 days so we have a few parties and a 'feast' on the 21 st & 25th

If you ignore Xmas how did/does it effect your children?

Although I am not in the list of the people you asked the question but I will take advantage of your ........... (dot, dot, dot).

And to answer your question, I just sleep or watch cricket (tv).

I have family over for the day, give them presents, cook a nice lunch and tea. It's the only time of year I see some members of my family, so I look forward to it for that reason, although sadly there'll be fewer of us than usual. I send cards saying "Merry Christmas".

Dear Cloverjo,
Why do you only have a get-together at Christmas and omit the rest of the year if you and your family enjoy it?
Please do not read this as in any way critical - that's not my position to comment one-way-or-the-other on personal relationships.
I just wonder why not get together on other occasions of the year as it seems to make you all happy.
Maybe the inhibitors are distance, cost or all working etc.
I personally understand your comment that there'll be fewer this year. Ageing of friends. relatives and indeed ourselves is not really much fun.
Ty for your comment, no need to reply of course.
Luv,
SIQ.
I do everything you're supposed to except go to church. If you're not signed up to an opposing religion you'd have to be a miserable git not to, in my opinion.
Ludwig. Agreed 100%. Wow: First of many great-posts more than 1 line?
