Goggle Box Popular Family Axed

Just because he was running for UKIP, and in the summer the other family were axed after son went on big brother.

But the posh couple who did a program with Farage, and are taking part in the next TV series Jump are not.

Whether you watch the programme or not, it seems a bit unfair to me.

Skewed reasoning to my mind, if the participants are meant to be a cross section of viewers then it should not really matter what their professions or political leanings are.

When i first read this post, i thought "OH...........MY....................GOD", very slowly and in a very effeminate manner. Then i remembered that i don't watch the show so i'm not bothered.

I've never watched the programme so could be way off target but it's probably because they are not outrageous enough. The posh people will be left because everybody likes to knock posh people. Its all for viewing figures.

It's right that the Michael family were let go, because the dad is standing as an MP, and the show cannot be seen to be giving political preference. It would be the same if he were standing for Labour, Conservative or the LibDems.

However, the Steph and Dom situation is a little confusing.

The Gilbey family were axed this year because the son (George) appeared in CH5's Celebrity Big Brother. Not sure why Steph and Dom can appear in a CH4 show outside Gogglebox and remain in the show, but George Gilbey can't appear on a CH5 programme.

That seems hypocritical.
