Completely unscientific (and rather unxexpected given my predilection for good wine and Malt Scotch) but the jury at Chateau Ensoleillé has awarded this years prize to

RUMBULLION

An astonishingly good spiced rum - I have to admit I bought it because the bottle looked marvellous, but the drink inside is pure after-dinner nectar.

Sloe gin and Creme de Menthe - I'm just amazed it hasn't got diced carrots in it too.

LOL, it will have when you talk into the big White telephone !.
Coors Light for me.
It can be a tad gassy but it's refreshing(ly) low in cals ;)
Failing that Kingfisher lager is a good buy in any Spoons , not as gassy.
Can't beat though,an ice cold Tennants though...tried and tested and it hits the spot every time !

I'm not a wine buff nor a spirit lover although as it's Christmas Eve i've indulged in a Glenmorangie...on the back of recommendations from my disastrous attempt at Laphroaig last week.Very pleasant indeed , I indulged a few years back but swore myself off spirits, did nothing for me, firewater stuff, so it was a welcome night cap this evening :) Slainté !

I'm having a couple of shots of Bushmills,Trish is having a late night and polishing of the last of home made the sloe gin, sloes where like rocking horse *** this year so it looks like we'll have to buy it next year.
kylesmum - If you like the Glenmorangie, try their Nectar D'Or, finished in sauternes casks .. it's gorgeous .. or a Scapa.

Glenmorangie is a very gentle companion - just right for a quiet doze in front of the fire :)
