I live in Brighton and we've had the same half hearted lights for years now. VERY embarrassing. We call ourselves a city now instead of a town. What a joke. It's a dump !

The bit round the clocktower is ok - ish ! and the ice rink has improved over the years from the miniscule block of ice with some dead plants in pots round the edge. It's got better over the years., but maybe that's because it has the spectacular Pavilion as a backdrop.
Bottom line folks, don't come to Brighton to do your Chrissie shopping. Its a gigantic disappointment. I've lived here 30 years and it's gone from bad to worse over that time.. Our Green council doesn't help. Hopefully they'll be gone in May
