2nd sighting 6. 58 pm for 1 min. Wsw departing sw

Excellent opportunity for the young ones on the 4 minute sighting to see santas sleigh glide across the sky if skies are clear .

Hi Peter glad you saw it especially tonight as that is the best sighting I have seen. I started watching it about 8 years ago and I can see the difference in how it has grown . It was just a spot in the sky and difficult to pick out . After reading about it I put the times up and was surprised how many people did not know they could see it . Thanks wendilla - that was the clearest view I've ever had of the ISS.

I dragged a dozen or so people out of a warm, buzzy reception to stand in the cold and stare at the sky - of ages from 3 to 83 (at a guess).

Every single one was entranced and smiling broadly as 'santa' cruised over Warwickshire - a magic moment.

There was a mention of it on the tv and it was in my local paper so they may have heard about it on TV .

I live right beside Heathrow Airport but big difference in that this moving object did not have red and green lights!
