I abandoned them until I reckoned that fuss would have died down, then turned back on again, only to hear " your baby will definitely have Down's syndrome". That was it - I have avoided this mess of rumpuses and sensationalism ever since.
But Jill has finally said that she is NOT going. She doesn't want to be so far away from Phil, and who can blame her ? I suspect that the pressure on David and Ruth will steadily mount until they themselves realise that moving Oop North just can't, and won't happen.
My money is still on "Pet" falling down the stairs and breaking her neck, thus obviating any real need to leave Ambridge at all. That frightful oik that wants to knock Brookfield down and build a ghastly modern "Stately Home" can

I posted on 'media-radio section' earlier how much I enjoyed 'Blithe Spirit' (thanks again to all those who enabled me to hear it). Linda was a brilliant Mme. Arcate! Wasn't it interesting doing the mind-twists throughout to see the characters playing the characters!
Didn't know that Jill has finally said 'No!' - don't blame her - knocking the old farmhouse down is a step too far! I can also see Heather taking a final, fatal tumble, alas.....

Quite a polished performance of B.S. mikey. Could it be that these bucolic denizens of Ambridge are really actors? My illusions are shattered.
B.H. is also brassed off with the sensationalism that has taken over and threatens to stop listening, which is a blow as she may stop doing the dishes while it's playing in the kitchen.
