Inside Looking Out At Snow!
8 Answers
Just peeped out of window and could hear a family with two youngish teenagers trying to make their way up our hill in deep snow, probably returning from Boxing Day with relatives. The snow is very deep and you can't see where the path ends and the road begins. Trouble is .... the street is pitch dark as the council switch all the lights out at midnight. The lady fell in the gutter I could hear her husband helping her up (she was ok) but how dangerous was that! I feel there should be some way the council could override the timing system when conditions are as dangerous as this.

Ann, the council do that with our street lights in south notts - had to stop and give first aid to a pedestrian hit by a car a couple of weeks ago on a dark morning - the driver simply couldn't see him step into the road as it was too dark and he was wearing black. I really wish they'd review the timings on the lights - it's too dangerous for a cost-saving exercise.
On a lighter note, still snow in the ground here and the animals are having a whale of a time diving in and out of it.
