Hi

Bought the above item and on opening it up I noticed that this lid dosnt fit snugly onto the top of the ceramic bowl, there is a bit of movement with the lid moves up and down if you press it like the bowl is uneven. The ceramic bowl does have groves along the top to let steam out - but is this normal to have a 'wobbly' glass top?

Thanks

Mine doesn't fit as snugly as would have thought it should - works just fine though (even if I do keep taking the lid off to check that the food is actually cooking).
Quite normal and nothing to worry about. Mine is the same. Just a little annoying as it rattles whilst cooking.
Mines the same but it works wonderfully. Just remember dont be tempted to take the lid off while it is cooking. and you will find its the best thing you ever bought.
The lid on my ceramic one is loose but apparently once it starts to collect condensation it collects around the edge and forms a seal. Don't take the lid off until after at least 2/3 of the cooking time or you let out too much of the heat. I read somewhere that by the time it regains the lost heat it adds 20 mins every time you remove the lid.
Mine is the same and it works ok. Rattles sometimes when cooking but not a great problem.
I put a tea towel under the lid to secure it properly.
Mines the same, but I'm sure that's how it's supposed to be. It should say in the instructions.
Had mine for years - even done a turkey breast in it!
If it was a really snug fit, the the lid would blow off after a period of time, due to the pressure built up by the steam. Don't worry. It will be fine.
