aussie soaps

how is it the aussie soaps last and the ones made here never last?

sorry for the dull question but i am sitting here watching home and away and it is so bad!!!!

Erm..... Coronation Street, Eastenders, Emmerdale, The Bill...... yeah you're right soaps over here never last do they....

but thats what i mean, corrie and eastenders are good!!!! the aussie ones are awful!!!!!

But theres only 2 and I'm sure they've had many not continued in Oz.

I wont have nothing said against H&A,its just a shame that we didn't have some decent eye candy in a british soap,apart from 'Grant Mitchell',,,,,,nothing!!!!!

i have to say i used to watch h & a religiously, then martha appeared....god that girl cant act for toffee....i then went back to watching it and its only this past week with martha being the main character at the moment that i'm remembering why i stopped watching it....i mean come on, she is painful to watch. and i definately agree with grant mitchell aka delicious!!!!!!!

electricblue I've been racking my brains trying to think of decent eye candy. You're right we have none. Even hollyoaks lets me down now. But leave it with me to have a little think.

i was in the living room and my flatmate had it on....like i say i never said i didnt like them,if you read my previous post you will see i said i used to watch it religiously until boring martha came into it!!!! i was just wondering why most of the soaps we make seem to fizzle out whereas neighbours and h &a are going really strong.

Give yourself a break - don't watch "Coronation Street" this week - watch "The Street" - great writing and superior acting. And it's set in Manchester.

Home and away and neighbours come up with great far_fetched storylines that is why people watch them, look at some of thing's that have happened in home and away recently, totally unbelievable but interesting to watch.

bellasasha you are right about Martha don't know what it is but when she is on screen i am fascinated by her teeth.

inej, you're right, there is something strangely fascinating about her teeth - they're so straight and white but too big for her mouth. Maybe they're false!

The first episode of H&A aired in the Uk on the same day I had my first proper kiss, so I watch it for sentimental value! My husband rips the p!*@ out of me for it but I can't help myself. Getting really sick of the Kim/Scott/Hayley storyline though!
