Maps and Second World War

Does anyone know where I can get a map from to show where places were bombed in the UK in the second world war? Thanks in advance.

Did you have a specific area in mind?
It would be impossible to map the full bombing of Britain but there are many many books produced by local historians about their own particular towns. There are books on the bombings of Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Belfast etc and a few on various London locations.
Some local newspapers (after the war) produced pamplets, some with maps, to commemorate their own bombings.
One book you may want to try and find (good luck!) is The Defense of the United Kingdom by Basil Collier (1957) which was the official account of the bombing of Britain.

You could try a Baedeker's Handbook - an early form of Michelin or Lonely Planet type guide. Apparently the German's used this to plan bombing raids on UK towns in it. They weren't all of military importance, but it was thought that bombing heritage sites would upset the British and cause them to sue for peace
