And here we are, 2nd January its damp, uneventful and I am debating taking the decorations down.
Every year I have one blue day (usually this week) where all the build up to Christmas/New Year and then the period its self vanishes - as if never here in the first place!
I like how the Christmas period brings people together, makes us feel grateful, and of course we eat and drink our body weight!! Now its just cold and boring. Must crack on with some jobs...... Hope you all had a great time!
We didnt really do christmas so its business as usual. The only decorations to come down are the christmas cards. Boxing day we were back to normal food. In our case cheese toasties and hot dogs.
Just about to take decorations upstairs till next year.
Been busy sorting cards and bit and pieces, and really glad its all over.
Back to normal today, feels good.
Morning, Jd....after all the fun of the preparation.....I completely missed Christmas Eve and Day this year....and Boxing Day....in fact the whole end of the year! Not a slice of turkey or a sprout..... :-(
But today I'm spending the morning in bed with Bernie..re-living the 60s and looking forward to the spring.
I have a head full of gardening ideas to put into action......a load of 65th birthdays to plan......and with luck I'll find something for the builder to.....................build...
It's been a lovely bright sunny day here today and at the moment there's a gorgeous moon shining through the window. I do feel fed up, though. No.......... more melancholic than fed up. Still, Spring's on its way!
