Booking .com advert .

Clever or inappropriate .

People are talking about it - which afterall is what one of the things advertising is meant to acheive

do you have a link?
I haven't seen it. Just read about it on here.
I saw (+ heard) it for the 1st time last night.
Definitely inappropriate for pre-9pm, imo.
Definitely naff. However, as you say, we're talking about it so maybe that's what their aim was.
I just watched it. It made me giggle but I am quite juvenile :-)
I am pretty sure the ad will be removed from our screens as it only needs a few dozen complaints before the authorities pull the plug. However the ad has been shown in cinemas for many months now- in fact it was shown before a children's film (Paddington) this week and I could sense that quite a few parents/grandparents were squirming as their seven years olds were subjected to 'booking brilliant' etc
where is it?
not seen it. anyone got a link please?
What do they do on the beach that is so bad?
They 'booking' love it. It's 'booking' great...etc.
THis was posted on an earlier thread

Neither really. It's a bit "You're so MoneySupermarket" or "Confused.com" ... i.e. an unimaginative and lame attempt to get the brand into general speech.

ta for that, agree with bathsheba
The first time I heard it I honestly thought they were swearing, I know that is sort of the point and I was surprised it was allowed, especially before 9 pm.
Thought it was me simply being a prude, and hadn't heard anyone else complaining, but I do think it is really unacceptable. Why do they feel the need to do it, must be desperate. Ok, I know that's how things are, but just don't like it.
You don't have to be a prude to get the innuendo. I think it's a bit over the top for the audience aimed at.
