Interference On Itv Channels

Lots of interference, little dots etc on ITV channels over Christmas, so annoying. I noticed this old ab answer below, but how do you fit this booster onto the TV? Got Freeview, transmitter is Guildford.

The booster Ron shows is easily fitted but you need to be able to fit plugs/sockets to the cables.

The aerial cable goes to a plug that then fits into the booster input. You then connect the TV cables etc to plugs which fits into the booster outputs. Booster should be as near the aerial as possible to avoid boosting noise.

There will also be a normal mains power lead to power the amplifiers inside the booster.

The one shown is a multi output one. If you have just the one TV or Freeview box you may not need one that large.

Just to add that there MUST be youtube videos on how to fit the plugs to the cable. It's not difficult but it's useful to see it done. (And you need a sharp knife.)

True. But if the existing lead is long enough to reach the TV downstairs and you fancy putting the splitter in the loft, breaking into the existing would be the way I'd go. Assuming sufficient slack.

Good point about digital though. 'Old experience' forgets things may be different these days.

Then again it could just be a loose or bad aerial connection.
