I have been lucky enough to buy some etchings by Wooliston Rheid at a local auction. & have a letter of authenticity with them dated in the 1800's .Does anyone know anything about this artist' & could they be valuable.

......... it is actually George Wooliston Rhead. And here is one of his etchings ...............

My surname is Rhead so i was interested - i dont know anything thing about him but the Rheads are a long line of artists - look up Charlotte, Louis and Frederick.
If i find out anything more i will let you know.

Sorry, I was having a vague moment earlier !! The etchings are actually by George Wooliscroft Rhead Jnr 1855 - 1920. He is most famous as the designer of the Coronation Fan for Queen Mary in 1911. Here is another of his illustrations which I quite like.
