The System Restore feature on my Windows XP computer will not open. I get a constant message System Restore Application has encountered a problem and needs to close.


How to I get back to normalworking order?

May be worth having a look at this

you could always try restoring it in safe mode, works for me.

could also be a virus. Viruses seem to enjoy attacking system restore and the restore files. Do a scan.
