Bt8500 Advanced Call Blocker Phone 2

I have asked a question about this phone before. Does anyone else have one?

The handset we have in the bedroom often illuminates during the night. It's very bright and wakes us up. There is no phonecall being blocked or coming through. Any ideas why it mysteriously lights up?

Hi Tilly, my phone also lights up on odd occassions, not the same make as yours, it did the other night when there was a very brief electricity cut ( we have quite a few of those)
It doesn't help you but at least you know it's not just your phone.

Is it cordless? Can't explain it but leave it face down on a night table at night, you'll still hear it ring.

Thank you, wired. I'm glad it happens to someone else.

I'm going to ring BT tomorrow and ask why it happens. It's very creepy to wake to a blue glow in the bedroom.

I thought it was just ours, now and again it lights up and says 'Searching for the hub..............'
