Got the ironing I was trying to forget about done yesteray, so now I can forget about it! :-)

What an extraordinary thing! I had a friend that lived in Hillseley back in the 80's and his wife worked behind the bar. I might tell you that many a "merry" evening was spent in the Fleece. The food was always very toothsome - mmmmm... duck sausages come to mind.

I'm green with envy. Have a lovely lunch.

I have moved to Monmouth now for the past 15 years. I might persuade my son to drop in there for lunch next time we head over the Severn Bridge.

Great news that the villagers managed to buy the pub - what a fantastic achievement.
