Downstairs Lav.

The front porch of my house is large enough to be partitioned for a "lav" and small handbasin installed. Do I go for a Saniflo or proper lav? Any thought please? tia.

It would depend upon where your present sewer run is in relation to your proposed WC/sink.

Proper drainage lav. Less can go wrong.

I'd like a downstairs loo too, but the only place I've got space is under the stairs...and you'd have to remember to duck before entering, lol!

Don't go for the Saniloo, they invariably fail eventually (and very costly)

Aren't sani flos dearer too? Not sure why you would go for one if you can do without?

we've got a saniflo, and it's never broken down in about 15 years, whereas the regular loo gets blocked up (for no good reason) every five years or so. So there's no telling.

I had someone to see where my lav is going. He recommended a proper lav due to drainage. I'm not getting it done until the spring so no rush. Kat.
