Hi,
Can you just walk into the above hotel and book a room for 1 night? Do you have to make a reservation before the day of check in? I dont have time to call them so was just going to turn up!
Thanks
Holiday Inn accepts 'walk in' customers at the full 'rack rate'.
However some other hotel groups don't. For example easyHotels require customers to book online in advance (as I found out when I tried to get into the one in Luton!).
I've been at the holiday inn near Northampton this week - it was booked 3 weeks ago and cost £75.00. last night 2 random travelers rocked up; they could only accommodate one of them, and had he stayed it would have cost him £159.00.
I book Hol Inns in advance regularly, they are often full. It's just pot luck - although I'd have thought the time you've saved by not ringing first will be lost hundredfold by turning up and then having to leave!!
When I was phoning around on behalf of a stranded rail customer looking for immediate accommodation over 10 years ago the Holiday Inn in Ipswich quoted £160 per night.
How long did it take you to write this post? I just called them and -"yes you can sir, providing we have a room available" - was the answer.
All done in 35 secs!
Yes of course you can. But and this is, to me a big but, you will pay premium prices. In the time it took you to write the question you could of easily booked a room. Please do not waste your hard earned money because you don't have time!
