Do you think some people 'attract' certain situations to themselves?
Or are some people fortunate and others not so?

Hiya.

Yes I do. I think some people are addicted to drama. Like they're addicted to their own adrenaline.
Yes
I think both are true nailit. Some people attract the same trouble to themselves by doing the same thing over and over again and are surprised when they get the same outcome. And yes some people are more fortunate than others, perhaps by having a good start in life by having a good childhood, good parents and so on and others have an awful start in life through no fault of their own.
Yes; life is often a state of mind. But luck plays a part, I am lucky to have been born in a free thinking western society to parents who love me. But some luck I made myself by making the most of choices that came my way.
In the words of Baz Luhrmann...

"Whatever you do, don't congratulate yourself too much
Or berate yourself either
Your choices are half chance, so are everybody else's"
Yes. I seem to attract negativity, but that's probably because I'm a negative person.

Agree with the above comment though, some people seem to attract drama... which more often than not, they tend to crave :-/
I have a friend like that. She's lovely but can't seem to live without drama and men that treat her badly.
I reckon it's an insecurity thing :-(
Not sure who said it first but those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it. This is as true of individuals as it is of nations.
Similarly "If you always do what you've always done then you'll always get what you've always got."
It probably is an insecurity thing. Insecure people can be attracted to other insecure people. They see something in them then often think they can mend them.

Hard to say Anne, I just think a lot I guess! I know a lot of people who just seem to attract *** to them and others who seem to to land on their ass no matter what. I think im jealous of the latter.
don't be jealous of anyone, everyone has '' an issue '' in their life just may not be obvious.
Yes, I know a few people who seem to be 'at home with doom'.
The sick thing is that when I try to make light of it and help them out of it, they seem to snatch it straight back again as if it's their 'baby'.
I know someone who makes a big deal out of informing people that he doesn't take sh\t from anyone yet he always seems to be around sh\t.
