Selling A Car
I'm selling a car for the first time and just wanted some information. We taxed the car in October for a year £205. With the new tax rules, am i right in thinking we can't pass this tax to the buyer? Can we claim it back?
Also I have a blue log book. Can I sell it with this? Thanks in advance

Make sure when the prospective buyer Views the car that, if they want to drive it does their Insurance Cover, never hand over the V5 MOT Documents until ( If paying by Cheque it clears) & hold the car until it does, do not sell if you are on your own ( Women ) Quote if sold "As Seen" make a or download a Bill of sale for the sale of the car with the Condition / Day / Date Price/ No Warrantee if that's the case, there are a lot of Fly Guys out there, be warned.
Get them to do it Alfi, with the dealer you should get good service as their reputation relies on it, check & re-check the service History Stamps, check if the Radio Has a Code, a Good Mot, Insist on 1 year, how many owners, how many keys the car has, Mine has 3 that includes the emergency key. do not be fobbed off regards the price, stick to your guns if no Joy, walk away there's plenty out there to choose from.
Yes Aliflump, I've had the car 6 years & it's been & still is a cracking car, I purchased a 308 Diesel in Oct that had a very serious Fuel Problem, that has now been sorted so the E36 Coupe is on ebay, whoever buys the car will get a cracking motor, regards your new Motor, make sure you check the Service Book, see what sort of mileage it's done, if the car is on a Belt Or Chain regards the Timing, ask the service dept as this will cost a few bob to get changed, you have "NO NEED" to use the dealers for the Warranty, providing you get it done by a VAT Reg Garage they have to honour the Warranty providing you use the Genuine Parts, if you use the dealer it will cost you, when checking the car, check the floor mats see if they are dry, look into the boot where the spare wheel sits they have a tendency to corrode at the base of the well, If I can advise further on the car, just ask, but I will say again, check all the Electrics, Windows / A/Con / Heaters / Lights / Reverse Sensors everything as if these go, you are talking about money, Good Luck with it.
