I tend to be ok where I live but they do not have a good reputation. You either have a signal or not. Unlike analogue it doesn't gradually deteriorate. So a mobile DAB radio is vulnerable to dropping out.
If you want one try one and see. I'm unconvinced they won't replace the standard with something better before too long. But they are still pushing them, so who knows ?

There's nobody on AB who can say if "YOU" will get a poor reception.
Only "YOU" can tell us that.
If you are unsure as to whether you will receive a good signal. Buy a Dab Radio from Amazon, whereby it will be delivered to your door.

Try it at home for a few days.
If the reception is poor, email Amazon with a request to return it.
They will send DPD to collect it... and DPD will text you to say what day and with a 1 hour time slot for the collection.
Have done it a few times with Amazon and all I can say is I am well impressed.

My gripe with digital radio is that you can only listen to your local BBC radio station, where I live that happens to be Radio Lancashire but during the season I like to listen to Rugby League commentaries on BBC Manchester and I can no longer tune in to these, unless of course someone on here knows of a way for me to do this!!
